How To Treat A Painless Lump Under The Wrist Skin?
I have a lump under my skin on my wrist about an inch from the injection site of my IV from my surgery I had 6 weeks ago. The skin is a little bit painful to the touch, but not the lump. Although the lump does seem to move under my skin when I touch it. Should I be worried? I had a GYN procedure and have already been for my follow-up appointment. Not sure if I need to see a doctor and if I do, should I go to the same that performed my surgery or my primary/family doctor?
I am so sorry to hear about this lump. Because it is painless and appeared after an IV insertion, I suspect it could be a blood collection. There is no pressing need to see a doctor right now and I will like that you monitor it. If it should increase in size or fail to regress with tie, then you should get it checked out. a primary care doctor should be able to address this comfortable and direct you to the necessary experts if need be.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
