How To Treat 3 Days Old Migraine With Nausea And Overall Body Aches?

Hello, I have had a migrane for 3 days now with nausea and overall body aches. Do you think I should go see a doctor? I have taken Excedrin Migrane medicine and that only seems to subcide the headache for a couple of hours. I also found 4 small bite like bites on my back but not sure if it is related.

Hello,

I always encourage my patients to seek out either medical attention or MINE if possible when their headaches seem to be out of control or different from their usual picture.

This one definitely seems to be out of control and not your usual headache so YES, I think seeing a doctor would be beneficial.

Be careful you do not OVERDO the Excedrin as this can be counterproductive and actually lead to WORSENING of your headaches or an increase in their frequency making them more difficult to adequately treat.

You should not take more than 15 doses of medication for headaches PER MONTH. Bite marks could very well be an insect and may or may not related depending on what actually bit you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
