Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your wife taking Forecox 2 in the morning on empty stomach as she has been diagnosed with intestinal TB, abdominal ascitic fluid tested positive for ADA 130, but she is vomiting three times a day, which is effecting her recovery, wants advise...
Since this is a case of
abdominal tuberculosis, we will have to know the cause of vomiting which can be as follows:
Intestinal stricture causing sub-
acute intestinal obstruction hence a reflex vomiting.
Another reason can be
stomach upset, gastritis due to medications.
We can find this out by the following way:
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen with enteroclysis.
Upper GI Endoscopy.
You can request your Doctors to give all the 4 constituent medicines of Forecox that is Rifampicin, Isoniazid, Ethambutol and Pyrizinamide as different times so that the causative medicine can be stopped and changed over by another medication.
If there is intestinal obstruction, go for
liquid diet, high proteins, and if still no relief, may need surgery for correction.
Add on a PPI like Omeprazole and
Domperidone to stop gastritis and vomiting.
