General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Blood test results for TPO antibodies are positive in 95% of patients with chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, also known as Hashimoto's disease. The treatment consists in lowering the TPO antibodies. I suggest using steroids and thyroid hormone. Both medications should be prescribed by an endocrinologist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
