How To Stop Frequent Bowel Movements In A Child?

Hi my little boy is 5 months old. he used pass stool every day. since i started him on solids at 4 months he passes stool every 3 sometimes 4 days. and the stool is hard and dry. there was blood in the stool once. what can i do to stop this as he starins alot as well when passing the stool

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
It is too early to start solids mat 4 months.
First of all let me know whether the baby is breastfed or on formula feeds.
Breast fed babies usually pass loose motions 5-6 times a day.
Formula fed babies pass hard solid stools and they strain to pass urine.
If you replace formula feed with cow' milk or diary milk it wii ease the situation.
You may also use Lactulose syrup 2.5 ml twice daily for easing constipation.
