How To Remove A Small Particle Stuck In A Child's Eye?

Some small partical has stuck my childs eye , when we took him to doctor he was trying to remove with needle and tweezer but my kid did not gave hime full support to remove ,so partially stucked one is remove.Ho wto remove the remaining ,will it effect his eye sight

Thanks for posting your query at HealthCareMagic. Based on the details that you have provided it is not clear about how much and what nature foreign bodies have lodged in your child's eye. It would have been further helpful if the child's age was mentioned. Children are unlikely to be cooperative when it comes to procedures requiring external manipulation. Most of the times the particles lodged in ones eyes come out on its own on repeated sprinkling with plain water. The foreign body sensation may still persist although the foreign body itself has come out. This is due to the small abrasions on the cornea or conjunctiva caused by it.

In general the child is partly sedated by using drugs like Pedicloryl. At times general anaesthesia is also used so that the process of removal of the particles (if any) can be done unhindered.
