Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my name is Katie three years ago I had a baby. I was 130pnd when I had her and 179pnd after I had her. I am now 222pnds. My job requires me to stand 8-9 hours a day. I lift and stock and walk all day. I am constantly on my feet and moving from sun up to sun down I sit very rarely. I stopped drinking pop and gained weight. I stopped eating chocolate and lots of other choices I choose to eat better. I asked my doctor why I can only seem to gain weight ever time I change my diet and never lose any. My doctor is more focused on my back problems than my weight but to me it gets more and more depressing I am used to being in shape and fit my whole life I was in the army and did great. I m at a loss. Could weight gain have an underlying problem that im missing or do I need to find a way to be more extreme about losing weight.
Losing weight can sometimes be very daunting but would be very rewarding.
The weight would be contributing to your back pain.
In addition to discontinuing sodas and chocolate , you would also have to make other changes to your diet to lose weight.
There are different diet plans available, the low fat/low calorie diet and the low carb diet. You would need to choose the one that best suits you and stick to it.
Meal plans would be available online for either option.
I hope this helps
