How To Reduce Weight Despite Having Hypothyroidism?

36yrs hypothyroid mom, and having over weight, fatigue,joint pain,constipation and losing and whitening of hair. I am taking thyronrm 100mcg for 6 months. What should i do to reach my weight at a good level and living in all my days with energetic. During these days my docter says i have the defficiency of vit d, calcium and suger, now i am using vit d3, calcium sandoz 500 and fruit juice with suger. But my situation is not so better.

I can understand your concern. Your situation is such that that you will always have to be careful regarsing your diet and weight as little carelessness can make you obese.

As you have already started on thyroid medications along with other nutrient supplements, losing weight would be little easy than before as you do not lack hormone support as a cause of weight problem.

Start regular exercises. Join a gym nearby if possible. Long walks, jogging, bike riding, swimming and yoga can help.

Have water before meals. Do not indulge into restaurant or junk food. Avoid day time naps. Do not overeat at one time. Instead, eat small portions of healthy food at a gap of 2-3 hours throughout day. Drink lots of fluids. Have more of fruits and leafy vegetables and less of fat containing food. You will get there with persistence, patience and hard work.
