How To Make My 2 Year Old German Shepherd Eat His Food So That He Can Have Doxycycline Medicine
My 2 year old German Shepard has been given 800mg of Doxycycline a day to fight Lymes/Anaplasmosis disease for 30 days. Trouble is he throws up all his food and now I can t get him to eat at all because he knows the pills come next and then he is sick.

hi, I own a German shepherd and I follow this:
I open the mouth, hold the pill at the tip of my pinch, put it deep on tongue, hold the mouth closed and lift the neck up so that he can only swallow. it is possible when he is not used to biting. Mine never do that, hence it was easy for me. you may try it.(only if it is dear to you, so that it wont hurt your hand.)
