How To Heal Multiple Mini Burning Fluid Filled Bumps On Face?

About once or twice a year I "break out" with multiple mini burning fluid filled bumps. I call them this as I know it's not acne. Am currently having an outbreak now, but the although painful and spread in hours, disappears in a week or so. This time not only have the presented themselves on my chin, but also near my lip. Do you have any idea what this could be or what I can use to speedy up the healing time. PS: I am 47yrs old and have had this issue on and off for 15 yrs.

Thank YOU

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

I would keep a possibility of Herpes labialis. It commonly presents as recurrent episodes of fluid filled vesicle arising in clusters, just like a cluster of grapes associated with symptoms of tingling, tickling or burning.

The episode is self resolving within 5-7 days but can recur again.

In my practice i usually prescribe an oral antiviral e.g acyclovir, famciclovir or valacyclovir for episodic treatment.

A topical antibacterial ointment e.g 2% mupirocin twice daily can be used to prevent secondary bacterial infection.

take care
regards
