How To Get Rid Of A A Lump From My Tongue?

I had surgery to remove a lump from my tongue;had all bottom teeth removed for radiation treatment;and had 35 radiation treatments. Diagnosis was adenoid cystic carcinoma. I completed radiation treatment in Jan, 2014. I have a mouthguard I sleep in to avoid upper teeth biting cheeks. Still biting cheeks. Also must eat soft diet due to no lower teeth to chew. I am scheduled to get dentures within the next 4 months so that should help with biting issues. What can be done, if anything, for my tongue. It is hypersensitive to all foods unless they are very bland (no acids or spices), and has bumps both bright red and white. My taste buds have returned so that is good, but I have constant dry mouth.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history and concerns.
The radiation has its side effects that you have namely, dry mouth. You get artificial saliva.
The mouth guards need to be re-fashioned well to suit your needs; the present one looks to be inadequate or ill-fitting.
You have to conitinue with liquid diet. you can use your kitchen mixture to make any paste like food and take so that your dietary needs are fulfilled.
