For cough and running nose best thing for symptomatic relief is steam inhalation. If the cough is associated with phelgem then antibiotic might be needed. For cold give him syrup cetrizine and if the nose is blocked then normal saline nose drops will help him.

Hi, my daughter (22 months) suffers from severe allergy. Recently she was given L-montus (kid) for one month, along with a nasal drop. We are also giving her an immuno-boosting syrup daily. She doesn t have any fever since, but continues to have running nose and blockage, mild cough and rashes on skin some times. She goes to a play school, which we cannot stop because of our occupational compulsions. I want to know what precautions should we take so that her condition can improve.

Hello doctor XXXXX i AM JUST ENQUIRING ABOUT MY BREATHING PROBLEM, Its in the middle of the chest , it is a bit like astmea but its not. I have had a breathing problems since about this time last year. What happened was i know this sounds silly but it did actually happen. A man at a swimming baths grabbed my head as i was about to sneeze , And discharged a cough down my throat . It was a chesty deep cough he did I think i breathed some of it in, before that i have never had breathing problems on this scale. Could it be that i have caught a disease or virus off him. After all they do say cough and sneezes spread diseases.
Over the past 3 weeks I have been increasingly getting sicker and sicker. A family doctor put me on Zithromax and a codeine cough syrup for my major congestion and constant coughing... Nothin helped and a week or so later I was prescribed prednisone and doxycycline . The doxycycline made me so nauseous I would throw up within a half hr of taking it so I stopped. I have been super nauseous, getting major headaches, and coughing constantly to the point that I have both major headaches and I am constantly throwing up. My chest is super sore and it is getting really hard to breath. I took a breath test a few days ago and scored 620/1000... Even after a breathing treatment. It s gotten worse since then. Now I can hardley breath at times, my muscles are sore and I feel super tired in instances where I shouldn t be (climbing stairs) and completely out off breath. Also, my heart rate has been over 100 for almost 2 days now... Fast enough that I can t sleep now. Thoughts?
I went to the doctor bc I was congested in my chest and nostrils and the doc gave me Flonase I ve been using that for about 10-12 days and I ve been taking robitussin and I ve also tried mucinex for nasal decongestant . I alson think I have anxiety bc sometimes I think about it too much and start panicking and I feel like I could just cry at anytime sometimes for nothing or just when talking about the problems I m having. I have had a dry cough for over a month, I originally was diagnosed with bronchitis about 6 weeks ago ago and was prescribed the z-pac. This helped and I feel better but I never have gotten rid of the cough I do not have a fever and feel generally OK. I have asthma though, should I go back and see my doctor? Do I still just have a cold?
