Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear caring son
your father must be suffering from post CVA left sided hemiparesis involving upper limb and lower limb. This happens due to uncontrolled hypertension. General progress is with physiotherapy and time lower limb recovers partially so that patient is able to walk. Upper limb especially hand recovers poorly. Since 6 years has passed and there is no recovery , chances of improvement is poor. You need to consult physiotherapist who can guide you better. Hope this is useful. Surgery is not helpful in anyway.
