How To Cure Ear Infection And Ruptured Ear Drum?

I was diagnosed with an ear infection with ruptured ear drum. I was prescribed neomycin, polymyxin with hydrocortisone. I looks up the med before I was going to take it, and everything says not to use with a perforated ear drum. Is there ever a time where this drug would be acceptable or should this order be questioned?

Hi, i got your concerns.
Perforated ear drum caused by infection(suppurative otitis media) can be treated with oral and topical antibiotic, ciprofloxacin tablet with topical ofloxacin will be better.
But remember to keep it dry, use ear plug or cotton swab soaked in vaseline while taking shower.
If not heals with this surgical repair(maringoplasty) wil be required.
I hope you got my point.
Consult with your ent surgeon.
Thanks for asking healthcaremagic
Wish you good health
