How To Cure Breathing Issues?

my father, age 58 yrs, is suffering from kidney problem.. he is undergoing dialysis twice a week but still he has got breathing troubles.. recently he is admitted in a nursing home.. his blood urea is high but the rest, i.e, potassium level, haemoglobin, creatinine are more or less in control, although not within range.. could you suggest a way in which he can overcome this breathing troubles??

I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of chronic renal failure (CRF) is more likely in your father.
CRF patients tend to accumulate fluid. So when there is fluid overload, they show breathing difficulty due to pulmonary edema.
He is also having high urea. This suggest further worsening of CRF.
So in my opinion, he should increase the frequency of dialysis (to avoid fluid over load), thrice weekly.
He will mostly improve with breathing difficulty after three times a week dialysis.
So discuss this with his nephrologist.
