How To Control Bleeding Due To Rupture Of Labia Minora?

Dear sir/madam,

I have been facing a problem from 2 days. Yeasterday I made intercourse with my wife. During that time The inner portion of vaginal wall i.e. labia minora of her was raptured and blood come out. After sometimes blood was stopped. But whenever she is going to bathroom for toilet one or two drops of blood comes out and after that it stops. Pls. suggest waht to do.

Trauma to the soft parts often leads to such incidents. This is aggravated if there is lack of lubrication. She needs a clinical examination by a specialist to decide further course of treatment. Meanwhile ask her to take rest, do not use a tampon and instead use a sanitary napkin to monitor the amount of bleeding, avoid stress and lifting weights and most importantly, avoid intercourse. Genital hygiene should be maintained. Most of the wounds heal with rest and if needed, topical applications, while a few need surgical intervention. Hope this helps. Take care.
