Hello,
A home pregnancy test reads best with a fresh early morning sample 3-7 days after the missed period. If repeated tests cannot read anything, it is best to go for the serum beta-hCG titre estimation coupled with a trans-vaginal sonogram. Intercourse during mid-cycle can cause conception, but toward the end of the cycle or soon after a period, is safe. This is because ovulation happens two weeks prior to the onset of the next menstrual period. Please see a specialist for further help. Take care.
