Hello Mr.Antony
Thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.
I read your condition carefully and came to a provisional diagnosis that is,
Gastro esophageal reflux disease.Gastroesophageal refers to the stomach and
esophagus. Reflux means to flow back or return. Therefore, gastroesophageal reflux is the return of the stomach's contents back up into the esophagus.
Certain foods and beverages, including chocolate, peppermint, fried or fatty foods, coffee, or alcoholic beverages,
smoking may trigger reflux and
heartburn.Decreasing the size of portions at mealtime may also help control symptoms. Eating meals at least 2 to 3 hours before bedtime may lessen reflux by allowing the acid in the stomach to decrease and the stomach to empty partially. In addition, being
overweight often worsens symptoms.
If you regularly experience heartburn at night or while trying to sleep, put gravity to work for you. Place wood or cement blocks under the feet of your bed so that the head end is raised by 6 to 9 inches. If it's not possible to elevate your bed, you can insert a wedge between your mattress and box spring to elevate your body from the waist up. Wedges are available at drugstores and medical supply stores. Raising your head with additional pillows is not effective.
You should undergo a 24 Ph monitoring test or a barium swallow and a esophageal motility test to confirm this diagnosis. In the meantime take
omeprazole or
pantoprazole 40mg empty stomach.
Hope i answered you .Take care
