How Safe Is Taking Epidural Injection For Back Pain?
My Friend just recieved a epideral injection for back pain caused by a mva we had a fractured pelvis and uretur damage. after completly healing over a 1 year period he recieved his first epideral inj at l4-l5 level. He was able to maintain an erection normally prior to the epideral,now he isnt able to get an erection at all even with cialis. My question is, is do you think this is temporary and if so how long will it take to return to normal?

Dear patient epidural injection is safe if proper technique is followed. Your friend has got loss of erection after injection that might be due to nerve injury. If nerve injury is due to injection it is mostly temporary and will recover within 6 to 8 weeks but it might take longer. I would advice wait and watch this time. But if it doesn't recover then kindly get mri done
