How Safe Is Taking Cytolog ?

Hi, I was 5 week pregnant. Last Tuesday my doctor prescribed to take mifegest and started with misoprostol 8 tablets of 200mg each from Thursday morning (2tabs vaginally) and Thursday night (2 tabs orally).same way on Friday morning n night 2 tabs of 200mg each orally. This Tuesday (after one week of mifegest) when I went for a scan she said the sac as been terminated but there few products remaining and hence to take cytolog of 200mg daily 2 tabs(1-0-1) for 3 days. But after taking cytolog on the first day I have stopped bleeding. Else my bleeding was normal. I am confused whether to go ahead with cytolog or stop taking these tabs. Need help!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You have already taken so many medicines to terminate. You should have tried directly for MTP. Now you go for a scan. It will show whether evacuation is completed or not. If it has been completed then no need for any medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naimshree Sonkar
