Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Long Will The Adverse Symptoms Last On Taking Reclast?
My osteoporosis is -3.7 in my spine. (I work out three times a week.) I took Fosamx for over 10 years. The doctor told me to try Reclast infusion. I did my research homework and have to admit the nurse went over the possible side effects; so I had Reclast 10 days ago. Within hours I had a terrible head ache. Woke up in the middle of the night with dizziness, head ache, temperature of 101.7 ( my temp is usually 97.6), and upset stomach. I am on day nine and still suffering with these side effects. Doctor has me on two pain meds that help some. I am SO UPSET with myself for allowing myself to be talked into taking this drug. How much longer will these adverse symptoms last? I DID NOT KNOW I HAVE TO PAY. SO SORRY TO TAKE UP YOUR TIME.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the symptoms that you have may not be due to change of medicine and new drug is the cause but fever could be due to something else most of the time it is due to viral infection, better to get don the blood test, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
