Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM). I will advise you to visit a Gastroenterologist who may advise you to get endoscopy examination to see whether the lower esophageal sphincter is relaxed, is there any hiatus hernia or not. If these are present then you may have to take medicines for longer period of time. However I will advise to bring some modifications in your lifestyle like:
1.Avoid fatty meals
2. Don’t lie down soon after meals for at least two hour
3.Take small and frequent meals, instead of full meals at a time
4. wear loose clothes
5. If you are overweight or obese do weight reduction with dieting and exercise
6. Avoid citrus and spicy food items
May be after these lifestyle modifications the problem may be resolved or you may require medicine on sos basis
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
