How Long Does Marijuana Take To Be Completely Out Of The System?

I have a hair drug test coming up on June 25th for a new position I would like to accept as an RN in infusion therapy. When I started looking for a new job in January of this year I quit smoking marijuana. I was a casual user, smoking a pipe three or four times a week, maybe less, for at least a year. So, I have been clean for 5 months less some prescription drugs I have orders for and I m wondering what my chances are of passing the hair test. I would like to avoid cutting my hair down to 2 1/2 inches or less if possible. Can you offer any information or reassurance? Are there are any self-testing products I could purchase that would be as accurate as MedTox laboratories hair testing?

Hi,

I do not feel that you need to worry about the test if you have been clean for last five months and were not a regular user before that. Usually hair follicle tests can detect drug abuse in the last three months, but if cannabis has been used regularly, it can be detected for some time more than that. However, not being a regular user and having been abstinent for 5 months, I guess you need not worry.
