How Long Does It Take To Get Periods After Stopping Duphaston?

Hi my name is bahisht... I am trying to get pregnant... I was diagnosed with PCO s problem.. And i have irregular periods.. I got my last on 2 april woth primoult n tablet.. After that my doctor gave me dupaston..she told me to start taking it on 16th day of period for 10 days.. I took my first tablet on 19 april... I havent still got my periods... How long does it take to get periods after stopping duphaston.. Can i be pregnant?

Hi,
It usually takes 3-7 days after completion of hormone treatment to attain a withdrawal. Sometimes, it may also take up to ten days. If you cannot see a period even then, you need to revisit your consultant for additional support. Chances of conception are good in PCOD once the complete hormonal profile and other necessary investigations are done and proper management is initiated. The uterine response to hormones may be positive if estrogen support also is given to prime the endometrium. Hope this helps.
