How Long Does It Take For Birth Control Pills To Leave The System And Start Ovulating Again?

I have a question about birth control. I would like to know how long it takes for birth control to leave the system and start ovulating again. I get comments made to me that it takes at least a year for it to get out of the system and possibly get pregnant. These people telling me this seem very adamant that it is a year for every female. Now that I am in my early 40s I get these comments a lot.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It can take 2 to 4 menstrual cycles before everything returns to normal. It does not take a yr for this to occur.

In some women it may even take less than the 2 cycles stated earlier.

Because you are in your early 40s , it may be more difficult to conceive. If you are unable to conceive after 6 months, you should consider visiting your doctor for an evaluation.

I hope this helps
