How Long Does An Irritated Meniscus Take To Recover?

I was diagnosed as having an irritate meniscus in my right knee. in June of 2013,I was up some steps and banged my foot into the step on the way up. I couldn t walk, had multiple times where my leg almost gave way under me. I m finally gaining some stability almost a year later. My question is how long does an irritated meniscus normally take to recover?

It generally takes 8 to 10 weeks for the recovery to take place. But some pain remains even after the recovery. As it is due to degenerative changes. If you are experiencing same pain even today you may go for an MRI of the knee joint to know the exact cause of it.

Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
