General & Family Physician 's  Response
After knee arthroscopy surgery one requires rest , elevation of the joint, and apply ice packs to reduce pain and swelling, and enhance the knee arthroscopy recovery. You have to strictly follow the instructions given by your dr like keeping the dressing dry and clean. Inspite of this if your pain is severe you need to consult your dr and explain the same.Usually it takes 6-8 weeks for one to resume normal activities, but regarding strenuous activities and driving you need to ask your treating dr who can tell you after physically seeing the progress. Regarding the change of dressing, starting of physiotherapy exercises, starting of weight bearing you need to take your treating drs advise.
