How Long Does Requip Take To Heal Restless Leg Syndrome?

I I just started taking requip for my restless leg syndrome, replacing mirapex, which was causing nausea after 15+ years of use. It has not helped my symptoms yet, this is my second night. Does it take several days for it to build up in my system to work or should I ask my doctor for a different medication? Could I be having withdrawals from the mirapex? This is the second night I have not been able to sleep because my legs will not stop jumping.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think you should take it regularly 1-3 hrs before bed. Your doctor may recommend you to increase dose gradually to eliminate side effects such drowsiness and hypotension.

I think you need to take a bigger dose.

Take care.

Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help you.
