How long does the side effects of tetanus shots last? I had the booster shot last Wednesday and began with the the symptoms on Sunday , I have all the symptoms except fever, and the site did not cause a problem. The fatigue was the worse and my blood pressure became very low for several days. ...beginning 5 days later . I take blood pressure medication for hypertension Which always runs on the higher side The past three days, my bp. Average has been in the low 90 s over low 70 s but my pulse is high 115-120 range. Based on the history you have shared, these can be signs of anaphylaxis and if you feel any other symptoms like respiratory or breathing difficulties etc it will need urgent medical facility ER review or to rule out anaphylactic shock progression though usually if so it occurs within hours after injectable.
Blood pressure medication should be skipped for the reading you mentioned untill other symptoms subside.
Oral antihistamines like cetirizine or loratidine along with steroid shot may be needed if so.
