How Is Osteoarthritis Related To Heavy Chest, Breathing Difficulty?

Within the last month I went to the emergency room with symptoms similar to a heart attack (heavy chest, hard to breath, pain in my left rib cage side, and slurred speech). I have had several test, treadmill, cardiolite, pulmonary and xray. The doctor said the xray shows a spot on the bone in my neck, possible osteoarthritis. I am scheduled for a CT scan. How is osteorthritis related to my initial symptoms ? Could he be looking for something else?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I think your doctor is thinking in term of cervical spondylitis. In this condition there is nerve compression in the neck which causes radiating pain in arm. Some time it can be very stinging. I will give you following advise.
1.Tablet Pregabalin and Methylcobal one daily.
2.Intermittent cervical traction.
3.Avoiding using very high pillow.
I hope these steps will help her. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks.
