How Is It Possible To Have A Cervical Xray With Reverse Cervical Lordosis Along With Cervicl MRI Which Is Normal?

on 1/8 I had a cervical xray with finding or reverse cervical lordosis along with bony enroachment of moderate degree on the neural foramen of the left fifth cerival nerve. On 1/18 I had a cervical MRI which was normal. How could this be? I had this testing done due to left arm and hand symptoms - I still have these symptoms so why would the xray have finding and then the MRI nothing

I am so sorry to hear about these conflicting findings. One of the results is for sure not true. If they were all interpreted by specialists, I would tend more to agree with the findings of the MRI than the Xray because the MRI is a superior test to the Xray. It could be that the position of the cervical spine during the xray led to this misinterpretation. Follow up with the doctor and kindly request that the results be interpreted again by probably another radiologist.
