Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, let me advise you, that UTI is diagnosed after seeing significant bacteria in urine culture test.
The best preventive measure you can take, to avoid a recurrence, is to maintain good genital hygiene, and drink 8-10 glasses liquids daily.
If you get a recurrence, as diagnosed after doing urine culture, you must have an ultrasound scan of abdomen done. If your age is above 35, check blood sugar and creatinine. You're welcome to send reports here, in my name, for an expert opinion.
