I am going through follicle monitoring, after the fertomid 50 for 5 days, today is 15th day of cycle, the size of endometrium is 9mm and the follicle size is 27, My gynac gave me a shot of hucog 5000 yesterday. My question is how does it helps and also its significance
Hello For conception endometrium size must be 11 mm while the size of dominant follicle must be 19-20 mm for release of ovum ON DAY 14th , 15th. . Hucog 5000 IU is a human chorionic gonadotrophin hormone . This is a placental hormone with alpha & beta subunits. Alpha subunit is similar to LH, FSH and TSH. Hocog stimulates production og gonadal steroids by stimulating leydig cells to produce corpus luteum to produce progesterone ( so that implanted or fertilized ovum remain attache with endometrium). So after reading in detail ,you got the answer of your question. Good luck.
