How Can Viral Fever In A Child Despite Taking Panadol Syrup And Suppol Be Treated?
Hello, My son is 2years and 3 months old. He s having a viral fever since the last three days. Was giving him panadol syrup on a 6 hourly interval. In the middle gave him suppository Suppol 170mg thrice as his temperature shot upto 100f. Took him to the doctor today who suggested giving him Meftal P Suspension if his temperature rises above 100f. So far have given him Meftal twice today with a gap of 12hrs. In the middle gave him panadol as his temperature was nit that high. Could you advice is it safe to continue this treatment?

all drugs are different forms of paracetamol. it is safe to continue. if fever persist more than 3 days, do blood investigation and start antibiotics according to lab results. viral fever generally subside 3 to 4 days.
