How Can Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

I have been diagnosed with a bacterial infection (gardnerella) but my doctor prescribed terconazole vaginal cream which if I understand correctly is an antifungal, will it also treat my vaginal infection? I don t want to take it if it s not going to be effective.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your vaginal infection.

If the infection was diagnosed by bacterial culture done then there is no need to use it. As I can understand too that you must be on antibiotics like levofloxicin or other.

As we can understand the prescription and use of antifungal medication. It must have been prescribed to prevent any fungal infection because this region prone to fungal infections.

There is no dangerous problem using antifungal cream if there is chances of infection.
