Hi,

If past procedure has caused any lymph vessels damage, it may cause such swelling however, ultrasound Doppler of lower limb, should be done if one side is swollen and other remains normal. The management will then depend on the cause. You should keep it high, above at the level of the rest of the body or in case of higher on a pillow. Decision of diuretics should be taken if Doppler is normal, and lymphatics are normal and still swelling persists.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
