How Can Sore Throat Be Treated?
Hello, I have a very sore throat. Swallowing is difficult. This has been for 2.5 days. I was just awoken with the feeling I cannot breath. I have been taking Tylenol and drinking as much water as I can swallow. My ears also feel like they are popping and sore. I am 61 yrs old and have never had a sore throats like this. No temp and I am a non smoker.

Sorry for your problem,
Dont worry , many times sore throat came due to viral infection and allergic reason.
You can take warm water gurgling, paracetamol,medicine for cold.
if your body temperature rise, dont releave sore throat within 5/6 days, consult with an physician for appropriate antibiotic and other examination.
in my practice i use , Tab.Augmentin (amoxicillin 250mg+clavulonic acid 125 mg), 3 times daily 7days.
