How Can Severe Panic Attacks Be Treated?

In 1990 my husband stopped to help some people. and they murdered him I spent six days tryingtofind out what had happened to him finally got law enforcement help and on day ten was told they did not have good news they knew who had killed him and he was arrested he had killed before and almost killed again after serving only 6 years I spent the summer addressing envelopes to the judge and in the fall of 1990 he was given 70 yrs I spent a year closing his businesses and in 1991 I started having panic attacks I finally saw a psychiatrist and was put 4 milligrams of klonopin which helped immediately 5yrs later I was stalked for 5 years my dosage was then 6 milligrams and told to move far. away which I did I have been on the same dosage for close to 26years and am once again having break thrupanic. attacks not sleeping chest pains hyperventilating and have asked my dr. to increase my dosage to 8 which I was on for several years he does not want do this and wants me to see a psychiatrist I have an appointment but not til sept 25 I can t wait 4 months and am I being stupid to ask my dr to give me 8milligrams don t know what to do Karen duncan

Consult a psychiatrist and start on anti anxiety medicines. You can also try relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation.
