How Can Severe Leg Pain In An Elderly Person Be Treated?

I am a male 75 yo 6 195 lbs good health, take no rx meds, work out in the gym 3 days per week 1.5-2 hrs per session (weight machines hiit on stationary bike, kettle bells) walk the dog daily 15 min almost daily. I eat whole grains, fruit, veggies, moderate amount of meat. I take vit d, b12, fish oil grape seed extract, magnesium citrate, and one excedrin every morning (it helps combat morning fog). My question is my legs ache quit a bit, all over, especilally in the morning, or when I sit for more than 20 minutes at a time. Other times they just ache all day. The aching lets up a bit when I start moving, but feel very heavy after an hour or two of activity such as yard work. What can you suggest?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

B/L leg pains and weakness in old age may be due to Chronic inflammatory DEMYELINATING polyneuropathy, Diabetes Neuropathy, Spinal Stenosis.

Please do EMG/NCS, MRI LUMBOSACRAL SPINE, SERUM PROTEIN ELECTROPHORESIS, SERUM FREE LIGHT CHAIN, KAPPA/LAMBDA RATIO, VITB12 /FOLATE.

For the time being please use Rx. Prebalin 100mg 1+1, Tofranil 25mg 1, Tab.methycobal 500mcg 1+1.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
