Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

His behavior suggest more towards personality issues. Symptoms like feeling of emptiness, anger issues, impulsivity, difficulty in controlling anger, fear that he will be left all alone, impulses to harm yourself etc. can be part of personality disorder. These symptoms with time starts affecting social and working life and it can be taken care off by psychological therapy and medications. Advice him not to take any decision impulsively for which he have to regret later.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
