Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi Sir/Madam
Welcome to Health Care Magic

I can certainly understand your concern about your illness, being a psychiatrist , I could advise you start on mood stabilizer ie sodium valproate , with minimum initial dose , and gradually taper to target dose...Along with that antipsychotics like quetiapine is definitely helpful in bipolar depression...and don't worry much about your relation with your daughter as once the symptoms get controlled , you don't face much problem..it is mainly because of psychopathology of the illness.

I'm not sure whether you have started with these drugs, if already started , please check whether it has reached to the target dose...And consult your doctor regarding the dose adjustment....., Hope this information would help u

Please post your questions if any, I will always be available to answer them
