Hi Sir/Madam Welcome to Health Care Magic I can certainly understand your concern about your illness, being a psychiatrist , I could advise you start on mood stabilizer ie sodium valproate , with minimum initial dose , and gradually taper to target dose...Along with that antipsychotics like quetiapine is definitely helpful in bipolar depression...and don t worry much about your relation with your daughter as once the symptoms get controlled , you don t face much problem..it is mainly because of psychopathology of the illness.
