How Can Severe Constipation And Sharp Abdominal Spasms Be Managed?
Hi I have backed up stool, have taken 6 sachets in one day of laxido 2 spoonfuls of dulcolax and a glycerin suppository.. I’ve went to the toilet once and only a little.. I have a constant feeling of being full and finding it hard to breathe with a sharp pain in abdomen and chest .. any advice how to clear this fast?
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* As per my surgical experience, this condition is indicative of loaded colon, not responding to usual conservative measures due to impacted stool.
* I recommend in my clinic- soap water enema instantly- manual evacuation of stool by consultant surgeon if no relief from enema.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
