Hi
1) Pus formation in kidney can be due to blockage to urinry tract, urinary tract stones or sometimes due to infection from blood stream in patients with diabetes or immunosuppressed or due to tuberculosis.
2) Pus formation is due to infection
3) If there is obstruction this needs to be relieved along with antibiotics. Occasionally the pus have to be drained by operation by a radiologist by placing a needle into the kidney. Specific treatment will be based on underlying cause.
