How Can Pimples On The Cheeks Be Treated?

My 11 year old daughter has a white almost clear pimple on her cheek. It has gotten a little larger. About a few weeks ago another growth appeared under her chin. Two small pimples appeared this week. What is causing this and what can we do about it? They don't hurt or itch, however, we just don't want her self conscious at school.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your query, you have symptoms of pimples on the cheeks which is mainly due to oily skin, sun exposure, or allergic reaction and hormonal changes as well.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash your face with cold water and facewash containing benzoyl peroxide. Exfoliate your face with noncomedogenic exfoliating agent once a week.

Apply vitamin C serum before going to bed for quick recovery. If condition get worse or doesn't improve then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe retinoids and antibiotics like minocycline. For now, drink plenty of fluid and eat healthy food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
