Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have seen my NP for persistent dry cough. She examined me. No bronchitis. No recent cold or flu. I had flu shot last month. She diagnosed viral dry coughing, which is going around. Prescribed Benzonatate 200 mg 1 capsule 3 times a day, I started yesterday after undergoing 2 bilateral Lumbar Injections L4 & L5. The has not improved so I drink Ice tea and use Ricola Lemon Mint lonsenges. At night I have taken a little Nightime Nyquil. Nothing helps and I am constantly coughing. No plhem and no mucus. What I should do now? SORRY. DID NOT ABOUT THE FEE. I DID MY PRACTICE NP AND CONSULTED BY MESSAGE WITH MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN. MY UNITEDHEALTHCARE MEDICARE ADVANTAGE AND TRICARE BFOR LIFE COVERS DAY & NIGHT MEDICAL SERVICES. I WILL CONTACT THEM OR IF NECESSARY GO TO THE ER.
