Hello and thank you for your time ! Our 13 year old daughter is an avid Volleyball player and she and her team have worked extremely hard to earn their spot vying vying for the Girls National Volleyball Championship in Detroit the end of June. This coincides with exactly when her next period will start. She bleeds really heavy the first few days and even more importantly she becomes very sick to her stomach and feels miserable. Volleyball is a very physical sport and especially for her since she is the team s setter and plays through the entire game. She knows with her period scheduled to start around the same time that she is going to feel miserable and she does not want to let her team down. I know I have heard that periods can be delayed but I can t remember if it s a shot or a prescribed medicine and I don t know what it is called. Could you please let me know so that I can speak to her doctor about it. Thank you so much for your time !
