How Can Penile Infection Be Treated?

Crust forming around pee hole. Doesn’t hurt to pee or anything like that. Only pain I noticed is in my right side of my leg/pelvic area, but feels like it could be bone related. I’ve had a uti before & this isn’t as bad as that was but white crust continues to form but I haven’t notice any discharge yet. Any help?

Hello,

Maybe, you have herpes simplex virus infection of the penis. Usually, any kind of viral infection can be treated with antiviral medication. You can take the full course of medicines and dosage based on your body weight. You can get a prescription from any general practitioner.

If the problem did not subside, then it is better you get a biopsy of the crust and culture and sensitivity did. If it is infective and organism found, then according to the reports you can get treated.

If it goes towards any other pathology, then we rethink of treatment. Please get the above investigations done and come to us.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
