How Can Painful Sores On The Tongue Be Treated When Suffering From Strep Throat?
my son is 4 years old. he was diagnosed with strep throat about 2 weeks ago right after he went swimming in a pond. his lip was swelling up and he had spots all over his tounge. he also started to get a rash on his body. after antibiotics he was doing better until we went swimming in another pond last weekend. after swimming he started to show the same signs as he did before when he had strep. he went to the doctor and was put on a different antibiotic this time but now he has sores on his tounge that are getting more and more painful for him and he is not eating much.
The painful sores on the tongue can be managed with: - Supplementation of multi vitamins and B complex syrup - Gargles with chlorhexidine solution to prevent secondary bacterial infection - Local application of honey over the tongue for natural healing in a smooth way - Discontinuation of antibiotics once the prescribed doses are over
