Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Mucus in throat is normal for babies and we need not worry if baby is active, there is no cough or breathing difficulty and feeding well. Now, if there is fever and baby is not taking feeds, kindly get her examined with your doctor without any delay as new born babies may become sick rapidly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
