How Can Mouth Ulcers And Burning Sensation On The Tongue Be Treated?
For about a week I have developed a canker sore on my lip, mouth ulcers, and now I have a burning sensation on my tongue. Concomitantly I have a slight sore throat and feel tired and feverish. What it is I may have contracted, and what can I do for relief....I have been using an OTC cream called Oraljet. Thanks.
Mouth ulcers along with burning tongue, sore throat and fever can be due to viral infection.. Many a times mouth sores precede fever and other symptoms.. I would suggest you to take a combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen to reduce fever and inflammation.. Gargle with specialised mouthwash that will reduce inflammation and pain like Magic Mouthwash.. You should also take Vitamin B complex supplements.. Do warm saline gargles. Avoid spicy and irritant foods and take a soft and bland diet.. In case if the symptoms does not get better you can go for oral swab culture and blood test and if viral infection is diagnosed then antiviral medication like Acyclovir can help..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
